This piece was painted with the intention of evoking a sense of calm serenity. Painted from a photographic reference, the nuances of the light, tones and hues of the shift in resolution were not corrected but mirrored directly onto the canvas, to give a feeling of peaceful bliss, that which is associated by the act of daydreaming about an ideal person, place or experience.
